In the fall of 2002 I was out shopping with my friend, Marita, and we walked by Pacific Fabrics. They had all of this amazing yarn in their window display and I was drawn in. I had taught myself to knit as a child to earn a Girl Scout badge and I knew I would be able to remember enough to make a scarf. I bought what I thought was enough yarn to make a beautiful scarf by running some novelty yarns along with my main yarn. I had to go back to the store twice to buy more yarn! $75.00 later I did, indeed, have a beautiful scarf and I was hooked. I knit every woman at our family Christmas gathering a scarf for Christmas that year and then I went to classes with an amazing teacher named Birgitta. She told me I could knit anything and so I did.

Now I am also spinning my own yarn, teaching myself to weave and designing knitting patterns. I am enchanted by fiber and think about it a lot even when Iím not working with it. I keep learning new things with every project I create and keeping up with the many talented fiber artists I admire. My dream is to make something beautiful with my own hands.

Thanks for stopping by. If you have any questions or comments I would love to hear from you. I am vkeaton on Ravelry or you can always just email me
